The Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM) of St. Thomas Cathedral is dedicated to bringing families together in fellowship and spiritual growth. Our mission is rooted in the three guiding principles of Worship, Study, and Service.

👥 Leadership and Oversight

Each year, an official committee is elected to lead the unit. This team oversees all OCYM activities and ensures that every initiative aligns with our mission and values. The committee comprises:

🎯 Our Objectives

1. **Promote the OCYM Motto – Worship, Study, and Service:** Encourage Christian virtues that help the youth lead a faith-centered life.
2. **Address Real-Life Challenges:** Discuss the issues faced by today’s younger generation and find strength through spiritual development.
3. **Educate in Faith and Tradition:** Deepen understanding of our faith, traditions, and history through discussions, questions, and reflections.
4. **Share Church News and Events:** Keep members informed about church activities and community updates.
5. **Encourage Faith-Based and Charitable Work:** Inspire participation in missionary, charitable, and faith-enriching initiatives.
6. **Foster Fellowship and Friendship:** Build strong relationships among members through shared ideas, collaboration, and community activities.

Since its inception, OCYM meetings have become a cornerstone of fellowship within our parish. They provide a welcoming space for members to grow in faith, share experiences, and develop leadership skills.

Members are encouraged to lead Bible studies, discussions, and presentations, helping each other learn and grow in Christ. Beyond spiritual enrichment, OCYM hosts a variety of social activities such as picnics, talent shows, and community events, fostering lasting friendships and unity among participants.
